Watched over by gentle giant eyes of Buddha, new and old friends mustered together to laugh away the hectic week, share stories, eat and drink. Welcoming Jess, the newest resident in the little house with the green walls, we placed ourselves in the front window of the Tibetan Kitchen, Spring Hill.
Koren and I have eaten at (or taken-away from) the Tibetan Kitchen several times before. We’ve always been ultra-impressed with the full flavoured food culminating in a satisfied stomach and happy-go-lucky taste-buds. Most of the vego options on the menu are vegan bar a couple of plates that include cream and yoghurt. And there are lots of meat choices too, if that floats your boat.
The non-vegos amongst us agreed to let the vegos amongst us pick the plates (win!). We selected a wide variety of meat-free curries, tofu dishes, rice, papadums and our all time favourite – kofta balls. All were big hits.
Brisbane’s rocking it’s way to becoming a city that finally, without judgement or disdain, caters for the vegos among us. Give the Tibetan Kitchen a go – you’ll love it.
Love Alana xx
