Would you like to take another sneak peek inside our flat to check out some of our favourite thrifted furniture finds? We previously showed you some of our treasures over here but it turns out we’ve got a lot of vintage-y furniture goodness scattered around … so it’s time for part two!
These are a few of my fave vintage things // furniture edition
Our little flat is gradually filling up with treasures thrifted from Brisbane and beyond. With each find our place becomes slightly more unique, packed with pieces that mirror our personalities or, through their timeworn frames, hint at the life they once lived. The eclectic and colourful mix inspires our imaginations and sparks our creativity. Many a productive brainstorm has been had here! Though I’ll soon be leaving this space behind as I move to Spain, Alana will remain caretaker or our recycled finds.
So, as the next instalment of my fave vintage things series, allow me to introduce you to some of our most cherished furnishings.
How to: give a loved piece of furniture a face lift
This little guy was purchased by my mum some years ago now for the bargain price of $5. The table and I became gypsies together – leaving my home town in South Australia we travelled from Alice Springs to Darwin back to South Australia onto Albury-Woodonga and then finally to Brisbane. During that time it played the role of coffee table, bedside table and sometimes even kitchen table. We’ve had a great life together but it was looking rather shabby – time for a face lift.
