Switching to a plant-based diet // part 1: do a little research

These are my baby strawberry plants (plus a basil baby) almost ready for potting. Scientists believe that plants evolved through mutualistic interactions with animals.  Their flavoursome fruits and beautiful flowers entice us and other animals to eat them and in doing so the seeds and pollen of the plant are dispersed widely. Plants – we are meant to eat them.

This month marks my one year anniversary of becoming vegan and I’ve never felt better. This first year was all about getting to know what goes into the food, beauty products and clothes I was purchasing. The last few months I have noticed a transition in myself where I have become more inventive in the kitchen and more relaxed and settled in my vegan skin. Looking back over the past year there were definitely things that made the transition much easier. In fact the idea to start this blog came about because I wanted to share these discoveries with others who are on the same journey. So here goes…..
